After "The One which Got Away" was released because the album's sixth single in October, Teenage Dream turned the third album to spawn six high-five songs on the Billboard Hot a hundred after Rhythm Nation 1814 by Janet Jackson and Faith by George Michael. The Guinness World Records acknowledged her in its 2010 edition as the "Best Start on the U.S. Digital Chart by a Female Artist", for digital single sales of over two million copies. It has since bought 6 million copies worldwide. The album went on to promote 7 million copies worldwide. Katy Hudson acquired mixed evaluations from critics and was commercially unsuccessful, selling an estimated 200 copies earlier than the label ceased operations in December. Perry's work on the episode received generally constructive reviews from critics, who praised her efficiency in the episode's digital short featuring her and Andy Samberg. In March 2012, she guest starred as a prison safety guard named Rikki on the Raising Hope episode "Single White Female Role Model". In December 2010, Perry performed Moe Szyslak's girlfriend in the dwell-motion segment from a Christmas episode of The Simpsons titled "The Fight Before Christmas". She hosted Saturday Night Live on December 10, 2011, with Robyn as the episode's musical visitor. |
